What are the trim levels for the 2020 Hyundai Sonata
The four gorgeous trims of the 2020 Hyundai Sonata mark a turning point in the model’s legacy. For the first time in its history, the Sonata is making a serious claim as best sedan in its class. Thanks to a greater sophistication and sportiness, a mountain of technology, and bold new design principles implemented by Hyundai, the Sonata has finally raced to the head of the pack. Glassman Hyundai is serving Detroit Troy Southfield Michigan with a review of what are the trim levels for the 2020 Hyundai Sonata. It’s our hope that the information that follows will allow you to feel better about your trim selection this year. Currently, the 2020 Sonata comes in 4 bold trim levels.
SE Trim – 2020 Hyundai Sonata
Hyundai injected its new SE base model with a powerful 191 horsepower 2.5-L inline-4 cylinder engine that also generates 181 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed automatic transmission operates flawlessly in combination with this engine, and it gives you a silky smooth drive style that is divinely fun to engage with. And with 16-inch alloy wheels, the SE is quite the handsome specimen. Body colored door handles and chrome window belt molding add emphasis to the Sonata SE’s sharp lines and bold curves. As always, Hyundai offers up excellent safety features, such as Driver Attention Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection. As a base model, they don’t come any nicer than the SE. We recommend this one to our customers that aren’t looking for over the top features but just want a terrific price on a nice sedan. Sometimes, nice is good enough, especially when you’re buying a Sonata that has more than most top tier sedan trims ever dare to offer.
SEL Trim – 2020 Hyundai Sonata in Southfield MI
The SEL features the same base model engine, but it’s expanding its portfolio in all other areas. It gets upgraded 17-inch alloy wheels for a bigger, bolder stance, and then there’s its proximity key with push button start configuration that makes everyday life a lot easier. The SEL is also serving Detroit Troy Southfield Michigan with upscale features like a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, 4.2-inch trip computer, and heated front seats. On the tech side, it gets the same 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system as the SE, but it adds expanded software features, such as a 3-year Blue Link Connected Care package for added tech utility. As far as trim levels go, the SEL is well worth the upgrade if you’re willing to dish out a little more.
SEL Plus Trim – Sonata in Southfield
Glassman Hyundai has a special place in our hearts for the SEL Plus. We know this is one of the finest Sonata trims to ever grace a road. Its 1.6L turbocharged engine nets you big gains on torque (195 lb-ft compared to 181 lb-ft for the base model and SEL engine). Its standard 8-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC is also an eloquent upgrade that we highly recommend. You’ll get it standard on the SEL Plus. The larger 18-inch alloy wheels also make the SEL Plus sit higher and seem more intimidating than your first two trims, so you’ll enjoy a more aggressive Sonata. You also get full LED headlights and taillights, heated side mirrors, and a Gloss black front grille for a super powerful feel.
Limited Trim – Hyundai Sonata in Southfield MI
The Limited is the only trim featuring full LED taillamps, including turn signal. It also grabs a few other exclusive features: Glossy chrome window trim, Front and rear parking sensors, Leatherette bolster/Dinamica suede inserts, and optional 10.25-inch color touchscreen with navigation & traffic flow. If you want the cream of the crop of Sonata trims, this is the one you’ve got to nab this year. Exclusive safety features also give you a good reason to get a Sonata Limited. Not only do you get everything on previous models, but you also bolster up your safety profile with exclusive features like Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind View Monitor, and Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist.
